Georgia’s House has openings throughout the year as women graduate from our program. We can house and serve 11 women at a time.

To apply for a bed in our recovery residence in Charlottesville, Virginia, please:

  1. Click here to download our residency application.

  2. Fill it out as completely as possible.

  3. Send us the completed form by email or mail, following the instructions on the last page of the form.

After we receive your application, we will contact you for any additional details or to set up an interview by Zoom or phone to determine if Georgia’s House is the best fit for your needs.

Basic guidelines for admission and residency include:

  • Applicants must be clean and sober on arrival.

  • Women are asked to make a six-month commitment to residency and may stay up to two years.

  • Program requirements include mandatory participation in 12-step meetings (or other recovery pathway programs), intensive outpatient therapy (IOP), weekly community meetings, monthly workshops, and adherence to any court-ordered requirements.

  • Drug testing is conducted several times a month on a random basis.

  • At intake, new residents pay $200 which includes a $100 admission fee plus the first month’s $100 community living payment (CLP). After that, residents pay a $100 CLP each month.

  • We cannot accommodate children living at Georgia’s House.

  • Residents buy their own food, clothing, and personal items and prepare their own meals. However, we can connect new residents with resources to help them get started.

  • Residents must become familiar with and agree to all policies and procedures for the Georgia’s House program which are outlined in our Program Handbook which is provided at or before intake. An orientation is conducted upon admission and arrival.
