Community Pantry
In the spring of 2023, Georgia’s Friends launched a new initiative to better serve the Charlottesville-Albemarle community – the Georgia’s Friends Community Pantry. Our goal is to provide any member of the underserved population in our neighborhood with food, toiletries, and personal care products at no cost in an accessible and inclusive setting.

Open on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of every month from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Located in the Georgia’s Friends office at 318 Dice Street, Charlottesville
*Closed on holidays and for severe weather

We invite you to be a part of this initiative to help us serve those in need in our community! You can make an impact by:
Donating items to the pantry. We accept physical donations of goods Monday-Friday from 9 AM – 5 PM at our office (318 Dice Street). Or, you can order them through our Amazon Wish List and they’ll be delivered directly to us.
Making a financial donation to Georgia’s Friends so we can keep the pantry stocked.
Leading a donation drive.
Distributing flyers to help us spread the word.
As you determine your level of support, please keep in mind that any donation will directly benefit our local underserved community by providing basic necessities they may otherwise not have access to. All gifts will be greatly appreciated!
Items We Stock
Canned foods: Fish. meat, pasta, vegetables, fruits, pasta and sauce, soup
Other food items: Crackers, rice, cereal, condiments, ground coffee, bottled water, granola bars, shelf-stable milk, jelly, peanut butter, beans
Hygiene products for men, women, & children: Deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, sunscreen, loofahs, hand soap/sanitizer, lip balm, razors, hairbrushes & combs, shampoo & conditioner, bar soap, wet wipes, feminine products, toilet paper, tissues
Miscellaneous: First-aid kits, Band-Aids, socks, underwear, notebooks, pens, diapers, wipes, baby formula, baby food, juice, instant breakfast drinks, can openers
