New Board Members

The Georgia's Friends Board is comprised of individuals from different backgrounds and all are committed to the mission and vision of the organization. All are active in the community and offer their expertise in legal, financial, medicine, community non-profits and service organizations. See our full board member listing below.

In 2019 we welcomed new member Charlotte Chapman who brings many years’ experience and professional licensing in counseling, mental health and addiction recovery. Most recently, Charlotte was Director of Counseling at the UVA Women’s Center.

In 2020 we welcome new members Tina Krall, Val Newcomb and Elaine Oakey.  Tina has more than 20 years in development and non-profit management. Val offers extensive background in strategic marketing and communications. Elaine brings a large network of community connections along with her administrative background and extensive volunteer portfolio.
